    Age of Admissions

    Admission Policies

    The Superintendent of Schools and the Diocesan Department of Education have established policies and guidelines for registration and admission of students in the schools of the Diocese of San Jose. St. Leo the Great School follows these policies.

    Little Lions PreSchool

    For admission to Little Lions PreSchool, students must be 3 years old on or before September 1 of the year you are applying and completely toilet trained.

    Pre-Kindergarten

    For admission to PreKindergarten, students must be 4 years old on or before September 1, of the year you are appliyng and completely toilet trained.

    Kindergarten

    For the upcoming school year, students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, of the year you are applying.

    1st - 8th Grade

    We follow California’s state guidelines for age and enrollment.

    Once completed St Leo’s will review the application packet. Families will be notified after the screening is completed.

    In the event a class is full, qualified applicants will be placed on the waitlist and notified should a spot become available.

    * A typical tuition increase is 3-5% per year** Application fees are non-refundable

    To qualify for the Parish Support Grant, you must be a registered and active member of St. Leo the Great Parish. Grants are not based on financial need but instead on the support the family provides to the parish in both financial donations and donations of time in one or more of its many ministries. Please contact Fr. John Poncini for more information on how to support our parish.

    You may choose any of the following three:

    1. One complete full payment in July
    2. Two equal payments, one in July and one in December
    3. Ten/Eleven equal installments beginning in July

    St. Leo the Great School and the Diocese of San Jose award financial aid based on demonstrated need. Financial assistance forms must be completed to process any request.
